Hello

I'm a visual artist with a strong focus on film where I specialize in props painting, faux finishing, weapons, prosthetics, and set work. I’ve contributed as an on-set painter for the Avatar sequels and led the props painting department for the series East of Eden. Alongside film, my own painting practice explores the concept of impermanence and reality. Through inverted imagery, challenging perception and form through technique and composition. I'm based in New Zealand and enjoy working in different places.

More about me

I’m a multidisciplinary artist and illustrator with over a decade of hands-on experience in the film industry, primarily as an onset scenic and props painter.

I hold a Bachelor of Media Arts from Wintec and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Fine Arts from Massey University, and my career has taken me deep into the world of props, prosthetics, armour, hero weapons, and sets—especially through my work with Wētā Workshop and on large-scale productions like the Avatar sequels and East of Eden.

My focus is on texture, realism, and screen-readiness, and I’m skilled across a wide range of painting techniques—from airbrushing and spray painting to intricate hand detailing. I’m known for maintaining high standards and a strong work ethic, and I bring a calm, friendly presence even under tight deadlines and pressure. I take pride in being a reliable, positive team member, whether I’m on set or in the workshop.

In addition to my technical skills, I’ve led small teams, managed day-to-day operations, scheduled tasks, delegated work, and ensured every detail meets both creative and production demands. I’ve also handled materials ordering, coordinated logistics, and supported admin and accounts processes—contributing to projects from both artistic and practical angles.

Outside of work, I keep active with swimming and bouldering, and I enjoy learning and speaking German.

I continue to explore new ways of working creatively and collaboratively, get in touch if you would like to work together.
